Having gained the Certificate with the Faculty of Astrological Studies in 1995, I then spent several years exploring not only astrology, but also crystal healing, the tarot, and the ancient art of Decumbiture, a traditional form of medical astrology, devised in the 17th Century by William Lilly and Nicholas Culpeper to treat patients with herbs, which used the birthchart of the illness. Along the way, I taught and lectured in herbal medicine and astrology, both in the UK and abroad.
The focus of my work with clients is towards greater self-understanding, looking at personal strengths and weaknesses in order to help the individual maximise their potential for achievement in the life, whether in relationships, professional vocation, or personal development.
I run a private practice for consultations, and also offer individual tuition for people interested in learning astrology for themselves. As a Diploma holder of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, London, I adhere to a strict code of ethics and confidentiality.
Throughout the ages, ever since the ancient Greek philosophers watched the skies and observed the various motions of the planets and their cycles, and right up to the 18th Century, Astrology was an accepted part of everyday life. Kings and paupers alike believed in the Hermetic maxim “As above, so below” – that the energy of God was passed down to us here on earth through the Sun and the planets. So, events on earth were seen as a reflection of events going on in the Heavens. Astrology is the interpretation of what the Universe tells us through the symbolism of planetary action.

Through the interpretation of the natural symbols around us, we are offered the opportunity to understand ourselves, and the uniqueness of our individual existence, as well as our potential for this lifetime.
The birthchart is a blueprint, or map, of the Heavens at the time of birth, and, as such, reflects the special energies under which we are born, which stay with us during our entire lifetime. We grow into our potential as we learn to work with the movement of the planets which, gently or otherwise, encourage us to turn each page of our life story.
When understood properly, which takes a trusting interaction between astrologer and client, the birthchart can help us approach and work through current difficulties in our life. Our inability to make decisions, our frustrations at work, as well as repetitive mistakes in relationships both social and personal, can be highlighted, explained, and understood. Our greatest challenges often lead to our greatest progress. In short, Astrology is a tool which can be used to allow us to participate in, rather than be observers of, our destiny. It is a tool for self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-growth.
Through our participation, it allows us greater clarity, and therefore greater control over how we handle our life opportunities, disappointments, and which path we ultimately choose to tread.
